Tenebroides (Polynesibroides) moorea was named by Kolibáč and Porch (2020). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Layer VII, ScMo–342 TP2, Piha'ena, Mo'orea, which is in a Holocene mire/swamp horizon in French Polynesia.
