Taxonomy
Streptelasma tennysoni was named by Pestana (1960). Its type specimen is UCMP 37699 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. B6095, Mazourka Canyon, which is in a Trentonian marine limestone/quartzite in the Johnson Spring Formation of California.
