Taxonomy
Antigona carrizoensis was named by Loel and Corey (1932). Its type specimen is UCMP 31810 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. A500, Carrizo Creek, foothills of La Panza Range, which is in a Miocene coastal siliciclastic in the Vaqueros Formation of California.
