Taxonomy
Ankothrips dupeae was named by Nel et al. (2020). Its type specimen is IGR.GAR.1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is La Robinière (La Garnache 1), Vendée amber, which is in a Turonian terrestrial amber in France.
