Taxonomy
Mckennahyus parisidutrai was named by Prothero (2021) ["Frick field number AINS 366-30, as mentioned in the older literature"]. Its type specimen is F:AM 113361, a partial skull ( partial skull, lackingrostrum, with left P3-M3, right P4-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trailside Kat Quarry, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Ash Hollow Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Mckennahyus.

[Zygoma more than 350 mm wide, wider and differently shaped from that of Macrogenis crassigenis or Skinnerhyus shermerorum, with long, laterally tapering points, and a twist at the base. Rostral muscle fossa beneath the anterior edge of the zygomatic wing. Upper and lower post-canine diastemata about 25% longer, and cheek teeth about 10-20% longer, than in M. crassigenis.]
