Furcembolus chuandiani was named by Jiang and Li (2021). Its type specimen is IZCAS-Ar42319Fo, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (IZCAS collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
