Karataothrips jurassicus
Taxonomy
Karataothrips jurassicus was named by Sharov (1972). Its type specimen is PIN 2997/329, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2997), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Karataothrips.
