Alilepus vagus

Taxonomy
Alilepus vagus was named by Gazin (1934). Its type specimen is USNM 12622, a mandible (anterior portion of a right mandibular ramus including p3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hagerman (Gidley Horse Quarry), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Glenns Ferry Formation of Idaho.

It was recombined as Pratilepus vagus by Taylor (1965), Dawson (1967), Hibbard (1969), Kurten and Anderson (1980).
