Homonotichthys dorsalis
Taxonomy
Homonotus dorsalis was named by Dixon (1850). It is extant. Its type locality is Malling, near Lewes (Rhynchonella cuvieri or Terebratulina gracilis zone), which is in a Turonian/Turonian carbonate chalk in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Homonotichthys, Homonotus.
It was recombined as Homonotichthys dorsalis by Patterson (1964).
