Taxonomy
Labandeiraia browni was named by Bechly et al. (2020). Its type specimen is USNM PAL 770864, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is West of Dubois on Highway 287, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Wind River Formation of Wyoming.
