Ampliconus antoni
Taxonomy
Ampliconus antoni was named by Eberle and Lillegraven (1998). Its type specimen is UW 26200, a mandible (fragment of left dentary containing p2-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Windy Mudstone (UW V-91005), which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Ferris Formation of Wyoming.
