Arctodontomys wilsoni

Taxonomy
Microsyops wilsoni was named by Szalay (1969). Its type specimen is U.K.M.N.H. No. 8520, a mandible (fragmentary left mandible with P4-M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is University of Kansas Museum of Natural History Locality 32, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Arctodontomys wilsoni by Gunnell (1985), Gingerich (1989) and Rose et al. (2012).
