Taxonomy
Neocalmonia chitralensis was named by Feist et al. (2001). Its type specimen is AMF 118250, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is KUR 19. KurĂ gh Spur, which is in a Frasnian marine limestone in the Shogram Formation of Pakistan.
