Bassariscus casei
Taxonomy
Bassariscus casei was named by Hibbard (1952). Its type specimen is UMMP 29169, a mandible (right ramus and part of the left maxillary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rexroad KU Locality 3, which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Rexroad Formation of Kansas.
