Problastomeryx primus

Taxonomy
Blastomeryx primus was named by Matthew (1908). Its type specimen is A.M. 13822, a partial skeleton (fairly complete skull and jaws with limbs and feet, and a few vertebrae), and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Parablastomeryx primus by Frick (1937); it was recombined as Problastomeryx primus by Webb (1998), Prothero (2007), Prothero (2008).
