Trinodus mobergi was named by Tjernvik (1956) [= 1906 Agnastus trinodus SALTER var.-MoBERG & SEGERBERG, Ceratopygeregionen, p. 78 , pi. 4 , fi g . 5ยท (Description a n d fi g . of pygidium.)]. Its type specimen is PMU V g281, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Arthrorhachis mobergi by Fortey (1980), Ahlberg (1992), Ebbestad (1999).
