Taxonomy
Calosoma kimi was named by Lee and Nam (2021). Its type specimen is GNUE-311001, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Geumgwangdong area, Pohang City, which is in a Miocene lacustrine - large mudstone in the Geumgwangdong Formation of South Korea.
