Keriocyathus was named by Debrenne et al. (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto-l]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Keriocyathoidea, Keriocyathidae.
It was assigned to Archaeocyathida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Keriocyathidae by Debrenne et al. (2015).
