Euryptychoides magnus was named by Muona (2021). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Muona collection, Finnish Museum of Natural History), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Euryptychoides.
