Taxonomy
Dikelocephalus cristatus was named by Billings (1860). Its type specimen is Nat. Mus. Canada 870a, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Conokephalina cristata by Walcott (1914); it was recombined as Richardsonella cristata by Raymond (1924) and Rasetti (1944).
