Taxonomy
Paraspiculum brauckmanni was named by Dvořák et al. (2021). Its type specimen is Sowiak F 564, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Piesberg quarry, lacustrine deposit, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine deltaic claystone in Germany. It is the type species of Paraspiculum.
