Chumashius balchi
Taxonomy
Chumashius balchi was named by Stock (1933). Its type specimen is LACM(CIT) 1391, a mandible (mandibular fragment with P3-4M1-3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pearson Ranch (Bed CS20), which is in a Duchesnean terrestrial horizon in the Sespe Formation of California.
