Quasicalathus conservans was named by Schmidt and Will (2022). Its type specimen is SDEI-Amb-002529, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Rovno amber (SDEI collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Ukraine.
