Shorea pinjoliensis

Taxonomy
Shorea pinjoliensis was named by Khan et al. (2016). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Department of Botany, University of Calcutta, CUH/PPL/P/f/4, a seed/fruit. Its type locality is Pinjoli Road cutting, 18km E of Bhalukpong, which is in a Miocene/Miocene fluvial sandstone in the Dafla Formation of India.
