Taxonomy
Gumardee webbi was named by Travouillon et al. (2022). Its type specimen is QM F57558, a partial skull (partial skull with left and right I1, P3–M3, right M4.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Neville's Garden Site, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Australia.
