Taxonomy
Sinonothochrysa zhangi was named by Huang and Nel (2021). Its type specimen is NIGP175154, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sanshui district, Foshan City, which is in a Selandian lacustrine claystone in the Buxin Formation of China.
