Ilyobius cascus

Taxonomy
Sialis (Protosialis) casca was named by Engel and Grimaldi (2007). Its type specimen is MACT-2090, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Morone Amber Collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.

It was recombined as Ilyobius casca by Liu et al. (2015); it was recombined as Ilyobius cascus by Martins et al. (2022).
