Taxonomy

Notolagus was named by Wilson (1937). Its type is Notolagus velox.

It was assigned to Archaeolaginae by Dawson (1958), Kurten and Anderson (1980); and to Leporidae by Wilson (1937), McKenna and Bell (1997).

Synonyms

Dicea was named by Hibbard (1939).

It was synonymized subjectively with Notolagus by Hibbard and Riggs (1949), Dawson (1958), White (1991).
