Sahnites gondwanensis
Taxonomy
Pityosporites gondwanensis was named by Mehta (1944). It is not extant. Its type locality is Pali Birsinghpur, which is in a Wordian/Lopingian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Raniganj Formation of India.
It was recombined as Sahnites gondwanensis by Maithy (1965), Lakhanpal et al. (1976).
