Taxonomy
Holcoptera rasnitsyni was named by Ponomarenko and Fedorenko (2022). Its type specimen is PIN 3320/204, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Garazhovka (PIN collection 3320), which is in a Norian lacustrine - small claystone in the Protopivka Formation of Ukraine.
