Tonkinaria simpsoni
Taxonomy
Tonkinaria simpsoni was named by Merriam (1973). Its type specimen is USNM 159403 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Birch Creek, Roberts Mountains, USGS M1100, Nevada, which is in a Lochkovian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Roberts Mountains Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Tonkinaria.
