Taxonomy
Enhydra macrodonta was named by Kilmer (1972). Its type specimen is CSU-Humbolt 745-1, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Crannell Junction, which is in a Rancholabrean marine sandstone in California.
