Enhydrocyon crassidens
Taxonomy
Enhydrocyon crassidens was named by Matthew (1907). Its type specimen is AMNH 12886, a partial skeleton (skull, lower jaws, and partial postcranial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monroe Creek (AMNH Rosebud 12), which is in a Monroecreekian terrestrial horizon in the Monroe Creek Formation of South Dakota.
