Syspacephalus variosus

Taxonomy
Syspacephalus variosus was named by Sundberg and McCollum (2003). Its type specimen is USNM 517608, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 41985, Split Mountain, Clayton Ridge, which is in a Delamaran offshore shelf lime mudstone/lime mudstone in the Emigrant Formation of Nevada.
