Triplopus amarorum was named by Cope (1881) [definitely not original combination]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Eomoropus amarorum by Osborn (1913), Colbert (1935), Radinsky (1964), Lucas and Schoch (1989), McCarroll et al. (1996) and Coombs (1998).
