Taxonomy
Protorhyphus lukashevichae was named by Wojtoń et al. (2019). Its type specimen is CNU-DIP-NN2019001, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2019 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
