Taxonomy
Cantharis (Cantharis) zabolica was named by Fanti and Poschmann (2019). Its type specimen is NHMM PE 2006/5024-LS, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Enspel, horizon S12, which is in a MP 28 crater lake shale in Germany.
