Taxonomy

Camaraspis was named by Ulrich and Resser (1924).

It was assigned to Petrocephaliidae by Harrington et al. (1959); to Pterocephalidae by Westrop (1992); to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pterocephaliidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).

Synonyms

Camaraspoides was named by Frederickson (1949) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran-l Sepkoski's reference number: 379]. It is not extant.

It was misspelled as Camarspoides by Sepkoski (2002); it was synonymized subjectively with Camaraspis by Grant (1965), Jell and Adrain (2002).

It was assigned to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
