Prodipoides dividerus
Taxonomy
Eucastor dividerus was named by Stirton (1935). Its type specimen is UCMP 29691, a mandible (mandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fish Lake Valley, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Esmeralda Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Prodipoides.
It was recombined as Prodipoides dividerus by Korth (2007), Korth (2008).
