Taxonomy
Machilusoxylon hindusthanensis was named by Ingle (1974). It is not extant. Its type locality is Samnapur, which is in a Paleogene fluvial horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India. It is the type species of Machilusoxylon.
