Taxonomy
Palmostroboxylon indicum was named by Biradar and Bonde (1979). It is not extant. Its type locality is Dongargaon Hill, which is in a Maastrichtian crevasse splay claystone/claystone in the Lameta Formation of India. It is the type species of Palmostroboxylon.
