Floridachoerus olseni
Taxonomy
Floridachoerus olseni was named by White (1941) [genotype]. Its type specimen is MCZ 3657, a partial skull (an incomplete skull with right P3-M3, and left P4-M3.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thomas Farm, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Alachua Formation of Florida.
It was recombined as Desmathyus olseni by Olsen (1962) and MacFadden and Webb (1982).
