Taxonomy
Mesonacis wileyi was named by Gapp and Lieberman (2014). Its type specimen is KUMIP 355550, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section 3, Sekwi Formation, which is in a Cambrian open shallow subtidal mudstone/siltstone in the Sekwi Formation of Canada.
