Taxonomy
Labandeiraia grimaldii was named by Nel (2022). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A71361, a wing, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Oise amber, Le Quesnoy, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial amber in the Argiles d'lignite du Soissonnais Formation of France.
