Taxonomy
Belaphotroctes grimaldii was named by Engel and Wang (2022). Its type specimen is NIGP200508, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Zhangpu amber, which is in a Langhian terrestrial amber in China.
