Taxonomy
Westropia skipperae was named by Adrain (1997). Its type specimen is ROM 53073, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ABR 3TT, Cornwallis Island, which is in a Homerian slope carbonate/shale in the Cape Phillips Formation of Canada.
