Botrychiopsis validum
Taxonomy
Neuropteridium validum was named by Feistmantel (1876). It is not extant. Its type locality is Srirampur Colliery, Giridih Coalfield, which is in a Sakmarian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in India. It is the type species of Gondwanidium.
It was recombined as Neuropteris valida by Feistmantel (1879); it was recombined as Botrychiopsis validum by Lele and Makada (1974); it was recombined as Gondwanidium validum by Gothan (1927), Lakhanpal et al. (1976), Chandra and Tewari (1991).
