Taxonomy
Drevermannia carnica was named by Richter (1913) [Drevermannia (?) carnica]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Plöckenhauses bei Kötschach, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Pal Grande Formation of Austria.

It was recombined as Drevermannia (Carnicia) carnica by Maksimova (1955); it was recombined as Chaunoproetus (Chaunoproetus) carnicus by Feist (1992).
