Empherium rasnitsyni
Taxonomy
Empherium rasnitsyni was named by Hakim et al. (2021). Its type specimen is PIN 3426/34, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr Amber, Nizhnyaya Agapa River (PIN collection 3426), which is in a Cenomanian fluvial amber in the Dolgan Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Empherium.
