Dakotaeschnidium spedeni
Taxonomy
Dakotaeschnidium spedeni was named by Nel (2021). Its type specimen is YPM IP 028154, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is 6 miles W of Whitehorse, which is in a Maastrichtian coastal sandstone in the Fox Hills Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Dakotaeschnidium.
